A survey
from the Focus On Health magazine, shares that many women are struggling with
accepting who they are based on their physical appearances. According to Psychologist Wisotsky, W. “A
positive body image is crucial to happiness and wellness.” In reality, being healthy does make us feel
good and more importantly, makes us look good. Personally, I think the key is to accept how
we look first, and then embrace who we are by focusing in the beautiful features that makes us unique individuals. What I mean is that if we can take a moment to
visualize and consider, for example,
the beauty of our hair, the beauty of our eyes, and the beauty that our smile
can transmit. Then we will begin to form a positive attitude
about our looks. Now, being positive is accepting
our genuine looks which can be the
first step into making the journey of
improving (not changing, but improving), our appearance in a more natural, or
happily manner. My final thought is that
being beautiful is in all of us, but we need to be able to visualize it.
